MacKenzie-Childs, recently. The Parchment Check ceramic mugs and knobs have been discontinued, so they are selling at a premium on eBay. Everything else remains readily available.
Wownails from Mrs Waxman of NJ. Can you tell that she and family are die-hard MacKenzie-Childs fans who show up at their Barn Sales in July year after year?!!
And the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time. (Nehemiah 2: 6, KJV)
It was noon on April 10, 1912, when the Titanic left England for New York with 2,223 excited passengers. Tragically, their voyage came to a premature end when the ship sank on April 14. Many who thought they would arrive, did not. As you travel through life, you do not know when your journey will end. Make certain it ends in heaven. Repent of your sin and accept the Lord Jesus who said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). —Arnot McIntee Tomorrow’s sun may never rise, upon thy long deluded sight; This is the time, oh, then be wise! Thou would’st be saved, why not tonight? —E. H. R.

Happy Birthday to former US Ambassador Nikki Haley (January 20th). She turns 47 years old.
As usual, I am fascinated by how the rich and famous live. Below is her official residence while a United States Ambassador to the United Nations. It's a gorgeous full-floor penthouse with a square footage of nearly 6000 square feet. Two corner master bedrooms, 11-feet ceilings and huge windows galore, wow!
The building's location is across the street from the UN complex. Ms Haley lives at the apartment with her husband, son, and dog. Her daughter is away at college.
Rent: $58,000/month
Who chose this place and how can an Ambassador afford the rent with a "measly" pay rate of $161,900 a year (per Executive Schedule)? It's all courtesy of the US government, of course -- one of the many perks of a stressful and important job. See more pictures of the gorgeous apartment in the links below. The brouhaha over her very expensive apartment drapes is also in the link below as this post was written at the time of the controversy and before her amicable resignation. Ambassador Haley is on Facebook and on Instagram.

1. I know a baby (my cousin) born on Christmas day.
2. However, another far more important baby whom the entire world remembers on Christmas day is Christ Jesus, the Lord (who in reality was very likely born in the Springtime and not during Wintertime).
Whatever day the Lord Jesus Christ was born, it's His birth (predicted hundreds of years before he was actually born!) that I celebrate at our Christmas parties and on Christmas day. He alone is worthy of my worship.
Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1: 23)
Isaiah wrote the above prophecy in the 8th century BC.
Accurate much?!!
No wonder I love the U.S. of A!!! Remember these Rights the next time someone tries to shut you up. Also remember that these rights apply to the person standing next to you or arguing with you on FB or IG.

Just as I thought. There is nothing written in stone about Dental X-ray requirements by my state.
Dental X-ray Laws
X-rays are often a part of dental exams, and while there is no statutory direction as to how often a dentist must take X-rays, there is a general liability issue.
Dentists should take X-rays in a "reasonable" time span to justify that he or she didn't disregard patients' oral health care. A dentist isn't legally required to take X-rays every six months or every year, particularly in patients who generally enjoy good oral health. However, if the dentist doesn't take X-rays and something happens, then he or she will be judged by the standards of the profession which indicate that it is proper to use X-rays for diagnostic purposes; it is difficult to do a thorough diagnosis without taking X-rays at reasonable intervals throughout the patient's "lifetime" at the dental office.
While dental patients have the right to refuse X-rays, the dentists also have the right to set a policy in their office dictating how often they take them for diagnostic purposes. X-rays provide your dentist with a valuable diagnostic tool that helps assess the overall condition of your teeth and their roots, jaw placement and overall composition of your facial bones. X-rays help your dentist see diseases of the teeth and surrounding tissue that cannot be seen with a basic visual oral examination and find and treat dental problems early in their development. This can potentially save you money, unnecessary discomfort and maybe even your life.
If the dentist has a policy that X-rays are to be taken at a given interval, and the patient refuses, the dentist has the right (although he or she may choose not exercise it) to dismiss the patient from his or her practice. The reason for this is that both the patient and dentist should be comfortable with the dentist/patient relationship and, should there be disagreement on fundamental treatment, then both parties would be better served in an environment where they both are comfortable.

I took exception to my Dentist's requirement that I have a full-mouth, panoramic dental x-ray ... which in reality is 17 X-rays of my teeth. It's been a couple of years, says he. As far as I knew, my teeth and gums were fine. I had no cavities, toothaches nor open sores. So, why not do the simple, twice-yearly dental cleaning without me having to compromise my health via radiation, for pete's sake?!! Office overhead $$$ getting a bit too much for you, Mr Dentist-with-the-expensive-indoor-waterfall?!!
Still, I am grateful to live in this beautiful, clean country of the U.S. of A! Watch the dental video below from India. It'll make you either wince, gag, cry, laugh. Maybe all 4.
Songwriter, Paul Simon, turns 77 years old soon (October 13th). Mr Simon is, of course, the other half of the phenomenal American Folkrock duo, Simon & Garfunkel . Paul Simon was also once married to actress, Carrie Fisher -- always to be remembered as Princess Leia. Pretty April, the French Bulldog, belongs to someone in the neighborhood. Met her and owner for the first time while on our daily dog walk and that day happened to be April's 2nd birthday. I'd wanted a French Bulldog since reading The Great Grisby by Mikita Brottman. In fact, I am glad that April and Grisby kind of look alike. I had never seen an adult Frenchie till I met April, and they're far cuter than I imagined.
April, the French Bulldog
"April Come She Will" - by Paul Simon April come she will When streams are ripe and swelled with rain
May she will stay Resting in my arms again June she'll change her tune In restless walks she'll prowl the night
July she will fly And give no warning to her flight August die she must The autumn winds blow chilly and cold September I remember A love once new has now grown old
