Special Counsel Robert Mueller: I Meant No Disrespect But I LoL'd

An early Birthday greeting to  Robert Mueller (75 years old, August 7th)!  Oh, man, was I surprised at the fiasco involving him on TV for all the world to see. Surprised and shocked that this weary and confused man well past his prime was chosen as special counsel to investigate Russian interference with our 2016 election. Did US Deputy Attorney General, Rod Rosenstein, who appointed him, have a sick sense of humor, or what?!!!

Observations/Bad News for Democrats: 

- Mueller's testimony was a disaster for the Democrats. Even the Mainstream Media acknowledged it. This case is closed!

- The Mueller Special counsel was in name only. Mueller was appointed, banking on his impeccable reputation. It was actually ran by 13 Democrat lawyers working as a committee. Mueller did not write nor even understand the final report.

- Bob Mueller may have been a good person a long long time ago. However, he is no longer physically or even mentally capable. He can not recall things. He did not even remember who appointed him assistant U.S. attorney for the District of Massachusetts in 1982. He thought it was George H.Bush....it was Ronald Reagan.

-  After 911, Mueller shortly became FBI Director. There was an anthrax attack and he had the FBI track down 9,000 leads in six continents. He then falsely accused a government virologist Steven Hatfill as a person of interest. Dr. Hatfill was innocent. He sued. The government paid him $5.8 million to drop the lawsuit. The public never got to learn what happened because the Bush administration paid hush money to avoid a trial.

- That is how incompetent Bob Mueller became. Before, he was a Vietnam Veteran and served with distinction receiving the Bronze Star, two Navy Commendation Medals, the Purple Heart and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry as an officer in the Marine Corps. Perhaps, he was not the same person after the war. It is obvious he was a tired old man, suffering from dementia!

- So for the last 3 years, Bob Mueller, along with 13 Democrat lawyers smeared President Trump's reputation. They should owe him at least 10 million dollars for character assassination!

- As long as the economy is good, Democrats will not have a chance. It will be a landslide nationwide.

- Other problems for the Democrats. Trump's favorability among likely voters is at 50%. In 2016 he won with 39% favorability. If Hillary can not beat him at 39%, how can anyone beat him at 50%?

- Polls are somewhat skewed to begin with. Most Trump supporters will not be truthful on Polls because, let us be honest, Trump is somewhat obnoxious. He is not a politician and he does not minced words. So he is a little rough on the edges. So many of his supporters are embarrassed to be known as his supporters.

- Another problem for the Democrats are the so called black vote. Only 8% of Blacks voted for Trump in 2016. For 2019, His favorability with Blacks is now 22% up to 28%. No democrat can win a nationwide election if Trump gets over 20% of the black votes.

- On the Hispanic side, Trump won 29% of the Hispanic votes (mostly from Cuban exiles). He is now polling 46% favorability with Hispanics.

- So just looking at the statistics, unless there is massive voting fraud, there is no way any Democrat can beat Trump!

- In 2016, I was one of the few people that predicted Trump's winning the election. How did I know this? I tried to attend his rally in Colorado Springs , Colorado.... a blue State. I could not get tickets. I later found out, the line was 2 miles long and people were lined up 24 hours before the rally even started. The seating was for 10,000 and 20,000 people showed up! I do not know how people feel but that is a bunch of dedicated voters! You can have a massive snow blizzard and these people will still drive to the polling precincts!

- In contrast, a joint rally for 9 Democrats was recently held in Iowa. About 300 people showed up. A quarter of which were media people... (by WP)

It's Nikki Haley's Birthday

Happy Birthday to former US Ambassador Nikki Haley (January 20th).  She turns 47 years old.

As usual, I am fascinated by how the rich and famous live. Below is her official residence while a United States Ambassador to the United Nations.  It's a gorgeous full-floor penthouse with a square footage of nearly 6000 square feet. Two corner master bedrooms, 11-feet ceilings and huge windows galore, wow!

The building's location is across the street from the UN complex. Ms Haley lives at the apartment with her husband, son, and dog.  Her daughter is away at college.

Rent: $58,000/month 

Who chose this place and how can an Ambassador afford the rent with a "measly" pay rate of $161,900 a year (per Executive Schedule)?  It's all courtesy of the US government, of course -- one of the many perks of a stressful and important job.

Apparently, the president being against leaks is now not only unpatriotic but a sign that he’s a paranoiac — at least, so long as Donald Trump is in the White House.

Axios  reported Thursday that because of the leaks — including ones which found their way into a Bob Woodward book and a  New York Times Op-Ed — Trump had become an “increasingly conspiracy-minded president.”

“He would basically be like, ‘We’ve gotta get rid of them. The snakes are everywhere but we’re getting rid of them,'” one source said.

“Trump would often ask staff whom they thought could be trusted. He often asks the people who work for him what they think about their colleagues, which can not only be uncomfortable but confusing to Trump: Rival staffers shoot at each other and Trump is left not knowing who to believe,” Axios reported.

“When he was super frustrated about the leaks, he would rail about the ‘snakes’ in the White House,” a source said.

“Trump would often ask staff whom they thought could be trusted. He often asks the people who work for him what they think about their colleagues, which can be not only uncomfortable but confusing to Trump: Rival staffers shoot at each other and Trump is left not knowing who to believe,” Axios reported.

“When he was super frustrated about the leaks, he would rail about the ‘snakes’ in the White House,” a source said.

“One day, after one of those meetings, he said, ‘Everything that just happened is going to leak. I don’t know any of those people in the room.’ … He was very paranoid about this.”

Wow, horrifying. I wonder what would happen if anyone else did this. Say, Barack Obama.

Because of course he did this, and of course the answer was “nothing.”

Yet, the Obama administration prosecuted leakers and gave staffers lie detector tests, as the  Washington Examiner  reminds us. In fact, the whole thing had to be reported by the  Committee to Protect Journalists, whose 2013 report received almost none of the kind of play that Trump’s “paranoia” is getting these days.

“U.S. President Barack Obama came into office pledging open government, but he has fallen short of his promise. Journalists and transparency advocates say the White House curbs routine disclosure of information and deploys its own media to evade scrutiny by the press,” the report said. “Aggressive prosecution of leakers of classified information and broad electronic surveillance programs deter government sources from speaking to journalists.”

“This is the most closed, control freak administration I’ve ever covered,” said David E. Sanger, longtime chief Washington correspondent for The New York Times.

The administration called its efforts against leaks the “Insider Threat Program” and implemented plenty of invasive methods to stop it.

“The Insider Threat Program being implemented throughout the Obama administration to stop leaks — first detailed by the McClatchy newspapers’ Washington bureau in late June — has already ‘created internal surveillance, heightened a degree of paranoia in government and made people conscious of contacts with the public, advocates, and the press,’ said a prominent transparency advocate, Steven Aftergood, director of the Government Secrecy Project at the Federation of American Scientists in Washington,” the report said.

This included lie detector tests.

“The director of national intelligence, James Clapper , announced on June 25, 2012, his own internal steps to stem leaks,” the report said.

“Employees of all 16 U.S. intelligence agencies — including the CIA, NSA, FBI and Defense Intelligence Agency — would be asked during routine polygraph examinations whether they had disclosed any classified information to anyone. And the new inspector general for the Intelligence Community, with jurisdiction over all its agencies, would investigate leak cases that had not produced prosecutions by the Justice Department to determine what alternative action should be taken.”

A contemporaneous article from USA Today said the report “portrays an administration gripped by strict policies about information flow and paranoid about leaks across all executive branch departments.”

Yet today? Nothing.

But the paranoid one is Donald Trump. Right.

Friday Funnies: Twist and Shout

A little girl leans into a lion’s cage.

Suddenly, the lion grabs her by the collar of her jacket and tries to pull her inside to slaughter her, under the eyes of her screaming parents.

A biker jumps off his Harley, runs to the cage and hits the lion square on the nose with a powerful punch.

Whimpering from the pain the lion jumps back letting go of the girl, and the biker brings the girl to her terrified parents, who thank him endlessly.

A reporter has watched the whole event.

The reporter addressing the Harley rider says, “Sir, this was the most gallant and bravest thing I’ve seen a man do in my whole life.”

The Harley rider replies, “Why, it was nothing, really. The lion was behind bars. I just saw this little kid in danger, and acted as I felt right.”

The reporter says, “Well, I’ll make sure this won’t go unnoticed. I’m a journalist, you know, and tomorrow’s paper will have this story on the front page. So, what do you do for a living, and what political affiliation do you have?”

The biker replies, “I’m a U.S. Marine, a Republican and I voted for Trump”.

The journalist leaves.

The following morning the biker buys the paper to see if it indeed brings news of his actions, and reads on the front page:

"US MARINE ASSAULTS AFRICAN IMMIGRANT; STEALS HIS LUNCH"
