The Thing About Hands

by S. Crawford: Hands have become very visible.
I noticed that when I started following street style with Tommy Ton. In every photograph every fashionista was on their iPhone with their hands dressed in rings and bracelets taking centre- stage of every photograph. It’s now the iconic image of our age. I was told by a plastic surgeon that if someone has ugly injuries to their hands it’s more devastating than facial injuries. It’s the body part we engage with the most.

Our hands never stop moving, most of us touch our faces up to 600 times a day. Give a woman a ring and it will give her a thrill hundreds of times a day. No better present in the world for the one you love if any of you men are wondering. These are @sienacrawford beautiful hands, which she inherited from her father, wearing a favourite emerald ring she designed. I love rings on old hands as much as on young ones. My age is clearly obvious on my sun beaten hands and rings say I'm proud of them.

Our hands express every human emotion ... They are huge communicators of body language. Witness the endless articles on the dominant handshake of the president of a powerful country.
The continent I come from most people eat with their hands .. I love watching they way different cultures eat, the dexterity required to use chop sticks. Forks were first used in Venice.. before that they also used to eat with their hands.

Women will tell you that a man’s hands are critical part of their attractiveness. Our hands are such marvelous tools. I love the evidence of the human hand in everything. In love, sport, dance, garden, cook, paint , draw , sew , build , and write... it’s all about hands. They say that the written word is much stronger and more powerful than anything typed. Write it down, make it happen is one of my belief systems. When doing spiritual work they always make you write by hand. The heart-hand-soul connection. The hand is referred to more than any other body part in the Bible.. My favourite comforting expressions are “ You are in good hands... leave it in Gods hands. “ Hand on my heart. #rings #hands -- Serena Crawford, Instagram

Fine Art: David Geffen, Billionaire Birthday Boy

pc: pbs

I first became aware of who David Geffen is during the 1970s when news broke out that he and newly-separated-from-Sonny Cherilyn Sarkisian (aka,
Cher have begun dating. He had plenty of hair back in the day. She later dumped him, and referred to him as a short guy.  Well, he may be short but he is also super-rich, powerful, and gay. Plus, he's quite an Art collector.

After making many millions from the sale of his home/property (The Jack Warner Estate) to fellow-billionaire Jeff Bezos, Geffen turned around and re-purchased an old painting which he had sold in 1985. It's called, "The Splash," by David Hockney; purchase price, $30 million.  Mr Geffen's 77th birthday is February 21. Is this perhaps a birthday gift to himself?

Geffen, who Forbes has estimated is worth just more than $9 billion, had previously owned the 1966 piece of art but sold it in 1985, the outlet reported, citing Sotheby’s. Prior to the most recent sale, “The Splash” was owned by Chinese billionaire and art collector Joseph Lau. - Fox News

Eli: The New Baby Boy in Our Family

Perfect! As cute as can be. Baby Eli was only 2 days "late" unlike his big bro who was over a week past due, lol.
I like his name. My first thought was of football player, Eli Manning, quarterback of the NY Giants. List of famous ELIs below.
Thankful to the Lord God for hearing our prayers on behalf of our son's family.

Designer Decor Candles I Like, Part 2

pretty-in-pink rose candle
I want a nice-smelling house! Several pets living up-close-and-personal with you within the confines of your home will do that to a person.

Thus, I am a sucker for sweet-smelling, good-quality candles,  sprays, or reed diffusers.  Pretty packages are a thumbs-up for me.  Famous names/brands impress me more than I care to admit.

Wiesbaden, Germany: Our HomeAway Apartment Rental

TBT time!  Our spacious, unforgettable rental while in Wiesbaden, Germany.  Two bedrooms, plus sofa bed; 1 bathroom. One of the bedrooms has a balcony; the other bedroom (ours) was close to the bathroom. No washer/dryer except down the hall -- a communal area where you are charged a fee for services.

It's in a large, occupied building which also houses a spa; but quiet inside and out. It's located in a popular area, thus, it was hard to park.  Somehow, the Lord always provided a spot no matter how late we got back.

The Reviews are not always enthused.  Still, a thumbs up from me. The link also has pictures.
