Nail Art: Gel Nails in Frosty Taro, Part 13

The word Taro refers to a root vegetable that we Asians have all eaten in some form or another (usually as Boba Tea) sometime in our lives. Boiling them can turn their flesh into a purple color -- hence, the probable source of this gel color's name.

It is a beautiful gel shade that I liked instantly. My pictures do not do it justice. Initially, my nail Tech discouraged me from having it on my fingernails because she thought it was not a good choice of color for the Autumn season.  But she okayed them on my toenails.

beautiful color!

Nail Art: Gel Nails in Orchid Pink, Part 12

My inspiration for this shade of Pink:   I wanted a repeat of the vibrant color pictured on the right, though not an exact replica 🠚🠚

Nail Art: Gel Nails in Blue + Decal, Part 11

The actual name of the blue 💙 color is Copen Blue.  I did not ask for a nail decal, but the Manicurist added one for each ring finger anyway.

My first nail decals ever!
The right hand is of a flower. The left hand is of a Lady.
Dry hands, sorry 😉

Nail Art: Part 7 My First Acrylic Nails

my (french) gel nails
In spite of the ongoing Covid19 Pandemic, we are travelling across the pond once again.

I make it a point to get my nails done on important trips.  It is usually gel nails for me: a few seconds under UV-lights make the finish tough, long-lasting, beautiful.

This time, I tried acrylic nails. Powders plus formula; and boom -- the nails supposedly are equally long-lasting and beautiful. It's my first time trying them, so we shall see.

My inspiration as far as main nail color:

Nail Art: Part 6, No Chip Nails for Covid-19

Before
It takes prep work by my Manicurist to pretty-up my nails.  Then, there's the intricacies of the work itself. Not that she does not get paid well, mind you. She should be wealthy from what I've spent at her nail salon thru the years, LoL.

My fave about my nails --- they last and do not chip!  Great for vacation time and special events. Especially great for this season of Covid-19.

still a favorite!

Nail Art: Part 5, New York State of Mind

Wow nails from Mrs Waxman of NJ.  Can you tell that she  and family are die-hard MacKenzie-Childs fans who show up at their Barn Sales in July year after year?!!

Nail Art: Part 3, Seasonal Ombre Color

I've noticed a trend to what attracts me in nail colors: I seem to like Ombré.

At times a single color bores me, I suppose.
Except perhaps on toes
