Officer Fired Over Support For Kyle Rittenhouse Speaks Out, Receives Check From Fundraiser Launched By Candace Owens - Daily Wire

Candace Owens presented a check for more than $200,000 to Lt. William Kelly, who was fired by the Norfolk (VA) Police Department in April for
anonymously sending a message of encouragement and $25 to a fund for Kyle Rittenhouse.

Owens launched a fundraiser for the fired official on Sunday, informing her massive following that Kelly has been living off his savings and his wife’s teacher salary since he was forced out of his livelihood. Her goal was $100,000, but that was swiftly surpassed by generous supporters in a matter of hours.

Appearing on “Candace,” Owens gave a check for $202,000 to Kelly from the fundraiser she launched — but more money is coming for Kelly and his family. The check had to be printed earlier for the show, Owens told her studio audience, but supporters’ generosity has continued to carry. In total, more than $245,000 has been raised in the fundraiser spearheaded by Owens, and all the money will go to Kelly.

“I don’t care how you spend it … but I do hope you sue the city,” Owens joked.

Lobotomies and a Birthday: António Egas Moniz

Egas Moniz, developer of the surgical procedure called a lobotomy -- of which the majority of patients were women 😠😡 -- was born 147 years ago (November 29, 1874).  The most famous victim ... ehr, I mean patient ... (which was botched 😡😞😡😢), was Rosemary Kennedy

Back in the 1940-50s a Lobotomy in the treatment of certain mental disorders was considered "Settled Science". If a doctor questioned this barbaric procedure he would have been viewed as ignorant or inadequate.

In fact, in 1949, the inventor of the procedure, Doctor António Egas Moniz, was awarded the Nobel Prize for his discovery. Lobotomy was considered Standard of Care, and any neurosurgeon not performing this accepted procedure would have been considered sub-standard.

Looking back now, we realize how ignorant these doctors were, and how dangerous this procedure was. Thousands of patients had their SELF destroyed by this procedure and became docile, robotic, non-humans.

So, when you hear someone say the phrase "Settled Science", just remember that the Lobotomy used to be that. When you hear someone talk about Standard of Care, realize that this is often based on no meaningful research, and based entirely on the opinions of a few "experts" in the field.

There is no such thing as Settled Science, everything should be questioned and studied.

Standard of Care is a false paradigm implying that we know everything about a subject there is to know, and that this model should not be questioned.

Think, study, watch, research, debate; we are figuring it out as we go.   -- Ken D Berry, MD

Jewelry: My Favorite Gold and Diamond Rings

I favored Rings as personal jewelry in the past --- back  in the day when my hands were youthful 😁

I now lean towards designer bracelets/watches as they are bigger (more gold content) in size. Older, yet wiser, and more-bang-for-the-buck, maybe?!

Most of my Rings are now kept in the bank safe, but seeing them again brings back happy memories.

Daughter Bitten by a Feral Cat

The cat at the Park looked friendly, says she.  But it suddenly took a vicious bite at her  wrist. The painful injury required a 10-day dose of antibiotics, sigh ... Thank God for a friend's Physician-mom for the Rx.

We are cat-sitting her two friendly/affectionate cats here at our home for a couple more months, but why take a risk petting an unknown, home-less, German cat? Because daughter misses her own Pets and she's a cat-lover at heart that's why!!  It did not help any that the feral cat is a look-alike to one of our own cats (who truly is a friendly cat, see picture). Appearances can be deceiving otherwise!

The wound has healed, thank God.  As for our main concern of Rabies, the Physician assured her that the German town vaccinates its feral animals against rabies. There have been no recent reported cases. Praying, in Jesus' name,  for the continued well-being of our daughter ❤💚❤

Lies, Rationalizations, and a Birthday

Remembering Christian  Evangelist Billy Sunday who was born on November 19, 1862

How can a lie be encapsulated in an excuse? An excuse is something offered as a justification or as grounds to remove a blame for while a lie is to make an untrue statement with an intent to deceive. I guess we oftentimes pronounce a false statement as an excuse. Most of the times we are more concerned with our reputation than our integrity. We even provide a color for a lie (white) but a lie is a lie regardless of its color. This was one of many nice quotes from William ‘Billy’ Sunday (1862-1935), a former American baseball outfielder turned influential American evangelist during the first two decades of the 20th century. -- F. FYI: 68 More Uses for Common Household Items

This is an article worth your while 👍👍👍

To me what's most important is the multi-use of an item.  For instance, I am always looking for containers that have served their original purpose, but can now function as waste bags for the always-pooping felines 🐱😸currently residing in our home. Get rid of the smelly mess for as close to free as possible.  I find discarded small paper bags quite perfect for the job.

Read the article H E R E and be fascinated about the items below,  as well as 60+ more.
