UChicago Medicine: Link Between Covid 19 and Vitamin D

 A new study conducted by researchers at the University of Chicago Medicine found a potential link between vitamin D deficiency and contracting the coronavirus.

Researchers looked at 489 UChicago Medicine patients and found those who had a deficiency in vitamin D that went untreated were nearly twice as likely to contract COVID-19 when compared to patients with normal levels of vitamin D.

“Vitamin D is important to the function of the immune system and vitamin D supplements have previously been shown to lower the risk of viral respiratory tract infections,” said David Meltzer, MD, PhD, Chief of Hospital Medicine at UChicago Medicine and lead author of the study. “Our statistical analysis suggests this may be true for the COVID-19 infection.”

The patients that were involved in the study had their vitamin D levels measured within a year prior to getting a COVID-19 test.

According to the study, half of Americans are deficient in vitamin D, and even higher rates of deficiency are found in Black and LatinX Americans as well as areas like Chicago where sunlight is limited year-round.

“Understanding whether treating Vitamin D deficiency changes COVID-19 risk could be of great importance locally, nationally and globally,” Meltzer said.

According to researchers, shelter-in-place orders to reduce the spread of COVID-19 may also decrease sun exposure, and in turn, potentially increase the need for vitamin D supplementation which should not exceed 4000 IU per day.

An update on party committee fundraising The country’s last statewide mask mandate has ended On Saturday, March 26, the last statewide mask requirement in the country came to an end when Hawaii lifted its masking rules. This marks the first time since April 8, 2020 – a period of 720 days – in which no state has had a mask mandate in place. Gov. David Ige (D) announced on March 8 that he would end the requirement.  New Jersey was the first to enact a statewide mask mandate. Gov. Phil Murphy (D) issued the order for that requirement on April 8, 2020.  Counting Hawaii, Democratic governors in 11 states have ended statewide mask requirements since February. The last state with a Republican governor to end its mask mandate was West Virginia, which did so in June 2021.   Since the pandemic started: 39 states implemented statewide mask requirements at some point. Masking reached its widest extent in December 2020, when 38 states had mask requirements. Of those 38 states, 24 had a Democratic governor, while 14 had a Republican one. Five states with Democratic governors who allowed a statewide order to expire later reinstated the order.  One state (New York) had its mask requirement overturned by a court. A higher court reinstated the requirement later that day.  Thirty-six states ended mask requirements through executive order, two (Kansas and Utah) ended mask requirements through legislative action. A court order ended Wisconsin’s mask mandate. The chart below shows the total number of days each state had a mask requirement in place since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. Here are a handful of other tidbits from our coverage: Mississippi had the shortest mask requirement, lasting 56 days.  The shortest statewide mask requirement in a state with a Democratic governor was in Wisconsin, which lasted 242 days. Take Heed! The Covid19 shot or booster may result in dizziness, lightheadedness, vertigo.  These side effects may in turn lead to falls, confusion, and injuries, maybe even fatalities.  

No one may admit to this consequence, but I would be extremely careful when considering the shot or be very aware of the possible side effects if you have already had the shot. 

I have three recent pieces of evidence (one of which is my brother-in-law). Each of the incidents below involves a person who has had the covid vaccine at least once.

Waiting In Line at the Elgin DMV

Welcome to the  backlogged-era of Covid19! 

Baby girl had renewed her driver's permit online by making an appointment during the early morning  hours. 

Fast forward to a very rainy 🌧 Friday. It was Driver's License time! However, there were no more online appointments being done. Just show up --- first come, first served. 

Wise people get there at 6:30 am (1 hour before the opening) and be among the first 50 or so other wise people who had the same idea.

 This was the line that greeted daughter when she arrived a half-hour after the opening: 

It rained ☔ for the next 1.5 hours that she waited in line outdoors. Meanwhile, her big brother waited in the car. When the time came for the road-test, he had to get out of the vehicle and wait under a "designated tree" in the parking lot till daughter and Tester got back. 

Thank God she passed. 

The Tester made a comment to her Brother that his Sis is "... a very good Driver." 😀  But, of course!

British Airways Confirms 4 Vaxxed Pilots Dead – Claims No Link To Experimental Injections – Anyone Buying It?

It’s amazing to watch the propaganda. If someone died last year, no matter what the actual cause was, it was COVID. Since the experimental injections have been unleashed upon the public, when people die shortly after taking them, the propagandists immediately claim the injection had nothing to do with their death. How do they know and is anyone actually buying their claims? This leads to a confirmation by British Airways that four of their injected guinea pigs, I mean pilots, died, but they claims, with absolutely no evidence, that the injections are not to blame.

(Natural News) Online rumors have been circulating over the past few days that four British Airways pilots have died, and that British Airways is in “crisis talks” with the British government about these deaths. In attempting to dismiss this rumor, Reuters ran a fact check article that actually confirms the deaths of the four pilots.

Via Reuters:

The spokesperson, however, confirmed the authenticity of the four condolence books, as four company pilots had recently passed away. “Our thoughts are with their family and friends,” they said, adding that none of the deaths was linked to vaccines.

British Airways, like nearly all airlines, is aggressively pushing vaccines for both its employees (including pilots) and passengers. Earlier this year, for example, British Airways launched its own vaccine passport.

According to Reuters, there is no truth to the claim that British Airways is in “crisis talks” with the British government. However, if such crisis talks were taking place, they would no doubt be classified as a national security issue, so Reuters wouldn’t be told about this anyway. That doesn’t mean they are taking place, but if we’ve learned anything over the last 18 months, it’s that when the controlled corporate media “debunks” things related to covid, that usually means the claims are true.

Various videos, including the following video posted on Brighteon.com, covers the rumor that numerous vaccinated British Airways pilots have died and that British Airways is in “crisis talks.” Note that this video does not claim this is all confirmed, but classifies the claim as a “rumor.”

The video carries audio of an unknown British person explaining that the British Airways pilots who died were “fit” and in their “40s or 50s.”

The fact checkers in the corporate media have been extraordinarily rapid in working to debunk these claims as false. However, as this video asks, “Is it normal to have four pilots from one airline dying in one week?”

Again, it seems the narrative pushers want us all to believe this is just another “covid coincidence.”

There sure are a lot of coincidences taking place lately, especially in those who are being injected with spike protein bioweapons labeled “vaccines.”

Notice that nobody at Reuters or across the media dares fact check the true claim that vaccines contain spike proteins, and that spike proteins cause blood clots and vascular damage, because both of those claims are confirmed facts that cannot be refuted.

A beautiful  MC-inspired bathroom was recently posted on the MacKenzie Childs blog.  My first thought was: Been there! I was personally at that said bathroom in 2019 during their last MC Barn Sale event.  See my pictures below.  So happy that Hubby had agreed to go out of his way after our Family Reunion in Canada.  

This year will be two years in a row that MC will not hold their annual barn sale. Darn you, Covid 19! 😕😠

Announcement: No More Face Mask or Face Shield Required, Hoorah!!!

Dear Costco Member,

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control recently announced new guidance regarding COVID-19 and vaccines. Among other things, the CDC now says that fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask in most settings, except where required by state and local laws. People are considered fully vaccinated 2 weeks after their second dose in a 2-dose series, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine.

Based on this new guidance regarding vaccine effectiveness, beginning May 14, 2021, we are modifying our policy regarding face coverings in some U.S. Costco locations.

U.S. locations with no state or local mask requirements - revised policy
In Costco locations where the state or local jurisdiction does not have a mask mandate, we will allow members and guests who are fully vaccinated to enter Costco without a face mask or face shield. We will not require proof of vaccination, but we ask for members’ responsible and respectful cooperation with this revised policy. Face coverings will still be required in healthcare settings, including Pharmacy, Optical, Hearing Aid. Costco continues to recommend that all members and guests, especially those who are at higher risk, wear a mask or shield.

U.S. locations with state or local mask requirements - no policy change
In those Costco locations where the state or local jurisdiction does have a mask mandate, we will follow the state or local regulations and continue to require members and guests to wear a face mask or face shield. Children under the age of 2 are exempt. If a member or guest has a medical condition that prevents them from wearing a mask, they must wear a face shield.

As before, our goal is to continue to provide a safe shopping environment for our members and guests and to provide a safe work environment for our employees, while following public health advice and applicable laws.

MacKenzie Childs: Beautiful Birds!

 

A couple of recent MacKenzie-Childs (MC) purchases: 

Cardinal Christmas clips; and a beaded black Parrot pillow for son's room. 

Both are relatively "simple" items. The checkered wings on the birds are what makes them desirable to me.  

I like the Parrot pillow as the figure is embroidered with colorful beads. Cute! It's made in India -- a recent hot bed for Covid-19 😒😧  This will disrupt the supply chain for MC as India embroiders many of their items.  The customers will again have to suffer delays in MC's shipping of their orders.  Please, prove me wrong.

 A favorite ❤ restaurant that is an oldie, but a goodie !  As of the time of this meal, Baker Hill Pancake House allowed dine-in at 100% capacity. Had to wait in line at around noon for 30 minutes before being seated, but well-worth the wait. Come one, come all if you are in the Elgin area.
