House Building in the Philippines: My Amazon Baby Gifts to a Cute Couple

I sent a husband/wife I had never met some baby gifts! The only connection we have had is their   YouTube channel.   I've enjoyed watching them build their house from the ground up -- through hurricanes, volcano eruptions and so on.  The house is complete and a baby is due in March 2021.  Watch their quick time-lapse house-building video below:

Asian Industrial Design House in the Philippines

Wow. I never knew such a house could be possible in the PI. Wealth on display by a  seemingly pleasant, down-to-earth couple who are not from a line of entrenched, corrupt, wealthy family of Politicians. Made possible by a life of excellence and hard work;  and a hard-earned degree in Architecture.

Philippines: Living in a Simple Hut in Bohol

pc: wikipedia
Covid-19 season has had me watching home tours from the high end of the wealth spectrum to this cutie. Yeah, we all probably want to impress the neighbors; but to CHOOSE to live simply and be content in a little house during these modern times, Wow.  I am quite impressed with this young couple's choices. If I were to be honest, I do worry what the next major typhoon will do to this structure. Note the hubby's mode of transportation.

My Binge-watching During Covid-19

pc: Tierra Maria Estates
Worth watching!
Mr James T. has over 500 YouTube posts on building a gorgeous house in the Philippines for he and his wife's retirement years (we may likewise retire in the PI -- that's what drew me in).  I could not stop watching as I got involved in the day-to-day plans and many frustrations of a guy who hopes, dreams, builds and lives life in a foreign country. He lost weight. My blood pressure went up as his must have done on many occasions (earthquakes, volcano eruption, no water, no electricity, no workers, Architect is MIA ). I even cared about the roosters, the cows, the goats, the street animals and his Dogs -- especially when the female pup got pregnant.

Here's a good video intro:

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock...

Real Estate: Gorgeous $500,000 Home for Sale in Philippines

Whoa. Fireplace, patchwork tiles, grid windows, wood beams,  shiplap, brass fittings, putting greens, attic living, a picket fence -- oh my! Country-style-home, here we come.  This house is  located in a country close to the equator, mind you. Humidity is oppressive and the A/C unit is your lifeline. The ultimate goal is protection from the sun and heat and typhoons, haha.

Yet, overall and without a doubt, one of my very favorite homes thus far.  Just look at that lovely exterior for a start. The windows and balconies, wow! It would be the envy of the neighborhood if it were located on Main Street, USA.

Again, don't mind the Realtor's accent and struggle for correct descriptive words.

Location: Filinvest East Homes, Cainta Rizal Lot Area: 275 sqm Floor Area: 585 sqm No. of Bedrooms: 5 No. of Toilet & Bath: 4 Powder Room 1 Maid's Room w/ Toilet & Bath 1 Driver's Room/Pantry 1 Car Park 5 Total Contract Price 29,900,000 Pesos

Don't mind the Realtor's thick accent.
