A & A Piano Recital: Fantasie Impromptu & Nocturne by Frederic Chopin

We were thrilled to have Mom, Dad, and Park Manor friends join us at the A & A Recital. It was held at Poplar Creek Church. It was a joyful, yet bittersweet occasion --- it's Camille's last piano recital before she goes to college in the Fall.  She played Fantasie Impromptu by Chopin; Jared played Nocturne Op 48 No. by Chopin; and AJ played Avalanche by Heller. Later, most joined us at home for dessert and the Apostle's Club dvd. We also gave out some of Mom's Green Onions. They were fresh & organic! DELISH!!!!

Our Dear Friend, Muriel: Absent in the Body, Present with the Lord

Today, our dear Muriel Ford was buried at Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin Illinois. Her desire was for a simple service, nothing elaborate. Even her coffin was simple & unadorned. Jared was one of the pall bearers. Muriel's hope was in the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, this was a sad, yet JOYFUL farewell. I will miss her praying for me. I will treasure her last letter (February, 2009); and her beautiful, hand-sewn dolls (Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy) will be cherised.

Minami Restaurant - The Purse Forum TPF

Someone at the Forum has the same screenname as this restaurant. I've driven past this place for YEARS, but didn't "connect the dots" AND have my camera ready till today after church sevice. "Minami" means South (direction-wise) in Japanese. It's also a popular name for girls in that country. Minami responded with Arigato Gozaimasu! (thank you); and I responded to that response with Do itashi mashite (you're welcome)

Mr Lim is 70 y.o.

Yesterday's events at Park Manor. The Lims arrived, en masse, to celebrate Mr Lim's 70th birthday. There was soo much cake, we took some home! Dan Lim was the speaker during Bible hour.
