My Chanel Bag Got Sold to a Millionaire $$ in California

I sold my beautiful, semi-classic Chanel bag 😔 and felt a little sad in spite of the monetary$gain.

It was one of two Chanel bags that I  owned; a staple, go-to black bag for dressy or any occasion. It left a void in my authentic-designer collection. The feeling was similar to losing a BFF to a new job across the country, lol.

A quick search revealed the 💲 multi-million  dollar💲Starter Mansion that will be her new home. I felt somewhat better 😌

MacKenzie Childs: Items I've Recently Sold

I probably will not post about certain of my MC items again -- they've been sold along with a multitude of other stuff.  Some were cute/rare and will be sincerely missed; but I love recouping $$ more.  Other bills, interests; and new financial goals prevail!

And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

Gold & Diamond Cocktail Ring

I feel smart to have purchased this 3 ct diamond ring at a bargain price compared to a recent advertised price of $2999 (retail $5799 on Macy's site).

I was even happier when Hubby congratulated me on my bargain-shopping skills.

I need to be content, though, as part of our funds are now set aside to pay for our renovations.  For now, no more purchases of luxury items solely to please moi!

Pure Gold prices have been going up!
Most likely caused by USA's tensions with Russia and Syria.  Price is $1300+ per ounce as of today's writing.  It has yet to reach the high of $1900+ per ounce in Year 2011.

Find out a gold piece's current value with the calculator link below. I resort to using the calculator when contemplating a jewelry purchase on eBay.

I do not want to play Post Office

I usually answer with a quick and honest "No" to a US postal worker's rote question of whether I am mailing anything that is restricted, liquid, perishable, hazardous, or prohibited.  Recently, I felt compelled to add more detail to my answer.  To my utter surprise and horror, the USPS clerk said that my little  item was considered a hazardous material. It is  mailable - but has specific restrictions.

It can be transported, but only via domestic surface transportation (read: very, very slow truck). So, after my $10 loss on its sale on eBay, I had to shell-out even more money to mail it to my buyer. However, scripture reminds me that in everything I must give thanks. If I had been unthinking or dishonest in my response  and the item had ended up as the source of an explosion or damage on a plane, I  would have personally been fined thousand of dollars.  Shiver-me-timbers. Honesty truly is the best policy.  I have also made up my mind that I will never sell this type of item again, no matter how high end the designer name nor how limited the edition.

ETA
:  After this recent experience, I was not at all surprised by  the recent ban on Samsung Galaxy Note7 devices'  on all flights.

Providing for honest things,

but also in the sight of men.

Surprise Delivery from Betty Crocker -- Do have a cow!

Huh?  Was Betty Crocker mailing cake mixes to potential customers?
It took me till the moment the item was pulled out of the box before I realized what it was: Daughter Farrah's Un Deux Trois cow-print, fringe dress from eBay.
Of course I left the seller a positive, ha!
