Musician, Karen Carpenter, would have been 72 years old today, March 2nd. What a loss of one of the greatest voices of modern times. In fact, hardly anyone will dispute you if you happen to say what a fantastic Singer she was. She was simply blessed by God with this fabulous ability. There was something in her singing that caught my attention when I first heard one of their hits in the early 1970s. I still love hearing their hits from that era -- a sign of a true classic. My fave? A great wedding recessional song -- "For All We Know"
Do you know this Lady? ... She is the opening act for the singer, Tony Bennett
Singer Tony Bennett has been in the News lately for his diagnosis of Alzheimers disease. I saw him in concert the year after his diagnosis (2017, but kept secret by his family). He was fabulous!! So very thankful I was there. Here was my previous post:
Mr Bennett put on his 38th appearance at Ravinia; and we we were there and saw him for the very first time. His 91st Bday (August 3rd)was the day before the show. Happy 🎂 Birthday, Tony!
He ran onto the stage at his introduction, giving me and the audience a very good first impression of what a 91-year-old can do. He wore his go-to white jacked coupled with dark pants. His appearance glowed under the spotlights. He could still belt-out the songs and hit the high notes. Amazing!!! What does he eat, and what is his exercise routine? I insist that he write a book sharing his health secrets.
The only negative was that he did not sing "I Wanna Be Around" (thus, below is the link to the song on youTube). He DID sing my very favorite: "The Shadow of Your Smile". Swoon.
Will we ever see Mr Bennett again? Only the Lord knows; but I said a prayer for Mr Tony's physical and spiritual health, in Jesus' name.
*Her name is Antonia, and Tony Bennett happens to be her Dad. She's a pretty red-head with a good voice; and the full-length, tiered black dress that she wore was nice, IMO.
So, he shows-off his kid's talent, and promotes her by letting her sing at his show. Nice. How typical of a parent, LoL!
I am taking pics before the start of the sold-out show

And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. ( Isaiah 46 )
Actor / Singer, Andy Griffith, was born on June 1st, 1926. I loved watching reruns of The Andy Griffith Show while growing up (having recently-arrived at the good ol' US of A). I still love the show and so do some of my kids. It's watched almost daily thru Amazon Prime. I never knew until recently that there are lyrics to the show's theme-song, "The Fishing Hole." I loved it being whistled! But now, here is Andy singing the show's opening theme song. Enjoy!
I like this gutsy gal! Never heard of her before Mr Trump's election, but I and many more have heard of her by now.
Singer & Trump Supporter Joy Villa Donned a Brilliant Pro-Life Dress Sure to Tick Off Every Leftist at Daytime Emmys - by C Douglas Golden, Conservative Tribune
When it comes to conservative performance art, Joy Villa’s red carpet appearances are a thing of genius.
It all began with her “Make America Great Again” dress at the Grammys in February 2017. That’s when the Trump-fueled outrage of the left was still election-fresh and the merest fact that she had the courage to show support for the new president created a hue and cry unlike any other in Hollywood. You could hear the gnashing of dental implants and the rending of Issey Miyake originals.
And among conservatives, we were all, like, “well done.”
Villa didn’t stop the trigger-fest there, however. Some of her more recent fashion statements have not only been pro-Trump but have also been in support of the unborn, another issue that gives Tinseltown a collective case of hypertension.
And, at the 2019 Daytime Emmy Awards on Sunday in Pasadena, Villa sent a few sphygmomanometers off the charts.

I have a strong feeling that the car owner is from the Philippines. "Guy" refers to actress Nora Aunor (birthday, May 21st) and "Pip" is actor Tirso Cruz III . They were a mega-popular couple back in the day.
Nora was a nobody -- born poor, but catapulted to fame & fortune thru her singing ability. Tirso sang also; so handsome that every girl from Housemaid to Grandma had a crush on him. If Nora the plain-looking girl could attract such a handsome prince, there was hope for the rest of us common folk. Sort of reminds me of the Meghan Markle and Prince Harry romance, LoL.
Singer Tony Bennett owns a Maltese dog; and because of the sweet dog's personality, was given the name of "Happy".
He was carried on stage by Mr Bennett as he took his final bow at the Ravinia concert. Hubby was in the restroom of the time -- trying to beat the sold-out crowd and all -- so my official Photographer with his much-nicer camera was nowhere to be found. Sorry for my poor-quality pictures of the big screen tv, but Happy deserves a post of his own.

Waving bye-bye from the stage with Happy, the maltese
I think our very own Shih-tzu might possibly have some part-MALTESE in her, hmmmmm.
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 7:1
