A few of my sibling & hubby's awesome and vast collection of Canadian Agnes Rathonyi fine Art is below. Sis and hubby have curated their collection so well that we are among others who have also begun collecting Agnes' artwork based on the tasteful collection they've displayed at their home.
In June 2019, Mexico became the first country to ratify the deal. On January 29, 2020, President officially signed the USMCA. Now, it's your turn, Canada. Get a move on! It will take another 90 days after all 3 countries have signed the deal for it to take effect.
Here is a review of what's in the USMCA, courtesy of V O X
Here’s a brief overview of what’s in it:
Country of origin rules: Automobiles must have 75 percent of their components manufactured in Mexico, the US, or Canada to qualify for zero tariffs (up from 62.5 percent under NAFTA).
Labor provisions: 40 to 45 percent of automobile parts must be made by workers who earn at least $16 an hour by 2023. Mexico agreed to pass new labor laws to give greater protections to workers, including migrants and women. Most notably, these laws are supposed to make it easier for Mexican workers to unionize.
US farmers get more access to the Canadian dairy market: The US got Canada to open up its dairy market to US farmers, a big issue for Trump.
Intellectual property and digital trade: The dealextends the terms of copyright to 70 years beyond the life of the author (up from 50). It also includes new provisions to deal with the digital economy, such as prohibiting duties on things like music and ebooks, and protections for internet companies so they’re not liable for content their users produce.
Sunset clause: The agreement adds a 16-year sunset clause —meaning the terms of the agreement expire, or “sunset,” after 16 years. The deal is also subject to a review every six years, at which point the US, Mexico, and Canada can decide to extend the USMCA.
Surprisingly, Paris, France did not make it on this list for either Yr 2019 nor Yr 2020. Surely people are missing-out on a fabulous city; one that remains the travel destination for many from around the globe. But then, the Parisian visitors may not be using AIRBNB?? I am also very surprised at who got the #1 spot; but further reading gave the explanation. BTW, years ago, I worked with a gal whose parents went to this town on their honeymoon. She was so embarrassed on their behalf 'coz in her estimation it was low on the totem-pole of exciting cities to visit, LoL. Personally, #5, #8, #17 and #18 are on my bucket list. May the Lord God make it possible!

Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.
Canadian author, Lucy Maud Montgomery, was born on November 30, 1874. She is best known as the author of the worldwide hit, Anne of Green Gables. A visit to Prince Edward Island, Canada is on my travel bucket list. God willing, it will be a reality in July 2019, or soon thereafter. Looking forward to seeing Green Gables -- an actual house belonging to a relative of LM Montgomery -- where the fictional character, Anne Shirley, stayed.
A. Is this wicked guy's actions the fruit of the hateful rhetoric of Democrat, Maxine Waters?
B. The Right (I consider Canadian pro-lifers as Right-leaning) have been accused of being ProLife but not ProBirth -- oh, really?!! BTW, I admire these young women. They were willing to publicly declare their love and support of unborn babies.
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. - Deuteronomy 30: 19,20
Charles Gustav Thorson was a Cartoonist and Illustrator from Winnipeg, of the province of Manitoba in the country of Canada. He was born on August 29, 1890 (128 years ago!).
Charles Thorson created prototypes ofSnow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Bugs Bunny, Elmer Fudd, and The Flintstones. Wow. I am so thankful he was born, and eventually moved to the US of A to work for Disney and Warner Bros! Many of us have had a childhood that was made richer/funnier thru the imagination and ideas of this man.
