How much taller my Fiddle Leaf plant 💚 has grown! I am very happy 😀😄

 I hope it continues to thrive.  If there's any "secret" it would be my parking it and leaving it in front of a large window which allows bright, but not hot, natural sunlight.  Plus fertilizer, of course.

A commonly tricky houseplant despite its popularity, the fiddle-leaf fig does not respond well to being moved, especially from a spot where it is thriving. Being a tropical plant, it does not tolerate cold temperatures well or survive prolonged freezes. Proper drainage, adequate sunlight (direct but not harsh), and misting with water will help keep your fiddle-leaf fig bright green with its signature glossy finish. -- wikipedia

My trio of succulents from COSTCO  became a duo, waaah!! 

Bye, Bye, beautiful Echeveria Orion.  My ignorance and overwatering probably did it in. So, I had to try again with another Echeveria plant. 

This time, I bought an  Echeveria Agavoides from Mariano's.

COSTCO: Lemon Tree Very Pretty

The dwarf Meyer lemon tree was shipped from the nursery in Hickman, California on Tuesday @ 6:20 pm.  Made its cross-country trek to my state and arrived Friday night. Loaded for delivery, but endured a warm weekend as it was not actually delivered till Monday.  I could have blasted UPS for not  having delivery service in my neighborhood on Saturdays! 

Oh, my poor little plant -- will it survive the long, hot trek and the waiting while stuck in a cardboard box?  Then I thought of God's capabilities and prayed ...

And Asa cried unto the Lord his God, and said, Lord, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O Lord our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O Lord, thou art our God; let no man prevail against thee.

Finally! Here it is -- all 2 feet of it --  already bearing fruit (tho' it did lose a couple while in transit) :

I once had a thriving little Citrus tree. It got so cute that my green-thumbed late Mom - who gave us the plant - noticed it. However, it also attracted thieves' eyes as it was soon stolen off of my very own home's front porch in Evanston, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr 😠😟😲  

I currently have a Fig (Fiddle-leaf)  bought on sale; and a dwarf Citrus tree. Both are from Costco.  I keep the Fig indoors, by a sunny window. It's beautiful. 

Admiring and watching my newly-arrived Citrus. I don't know its "mood" as of yet. It's situated outdoors on my sunny deck. I hope both (all) of my potted plants last a while and thrive.

There are plenty of reasons to grow a tree in a large container. Happy Birthday, America!! 

Ordered these beauties online.  Knew of main risk: dead/dying plants on arrival.

They survived a 4-day transit in late-Spring temps, including sitting overnight in a UPS truck on a Sunday.

However, there was a broken pot for one:  Gasteria Aristata.

Vendor can not send just a replacement pot. Customer Service said I must return all three plants,  broken pot and all, via UPS. Or return them to a COSTCO warehouse. I knew our local store did not have any more of these succulents to exchange for mine. I was also worried that they would not survive another 4 days in a UPS truck.  So I opted for a $10 refund and kept them.  So far, they're all thriving, though not in matchy-matchy containers. Another COSTCO purchase, my fiddle leaf tree, is also doing okay, Yay.
