28 Mirrors That Will Make You Stop and Stare

These colorful options are anything but bland- by Domino Magazine

In everyday life, we treat mirrors as a tool to help us get a look at ourselves, not as something to look at. They’re handy in the morning when you need to swipe on some lipstick or want to take one last peek at your outfit before rushing out the door, but you rarely stop to think about this utilitarian accessory in its own right.
It’s especially true of more modern and minimalist mirrors that aren’t weighed down by bulky, ornate frames. But what if you treated your mirror as something that’s also nice to gaze at in and of itself? What if it’s just the dose of color your routine needs? We found 28 bright options to get you started.

Floor & Wall Mirror: Out With the Old, In With the New

Walls  were torn down for an "open concept" space. Change -- even good ones -- can at times be difficult. We will miss the old, full-height mirror that has withstood our busy household and faithfully reflected our family's various fashion and hair do's over the years.  Pup Bubbles remembers.

But the room brightens up and seems larger... and we still love mirrors.  Thank God for resale shops. Out with the old large mirror, and in with the new.

I Want an Antique Floor Mirror

The One Item Nate Berkus Swears By for Making a Space Look Bigger - Domino Magazine

If you can fit it into your budget, a big mirror will add instant drama and does the trick of opening your home's space.

I  recently went into my fave resale shop and happen upon a large mirror.  Not an antique and scratched in spots, but for the price of $12 it was worth the purchase. Thank God for son's help in loading it into my car.

Domino Magazine:  Time to hit up your local thrift shop: You need a vintage mirror. Aside from adding charm and a certain old-school flair that’s guaranteed to be a conversation-starter, these pieces are a great way to fill up an empty wall when traditional artwork won’t do. Small-space dwellers will note another benefit of large mirrors—they open up a room and make it feel instantly larger.
