WC: Nick's Awful Summer

NOTE: 1.Nick's cool HANDLEBAR MOUSTACHE caused me to do a double-take when I first set eyes on him after a college concert last year.
2. His last name is MUZIK, and yes, he is pursuing a degree in Music (Music Composition).  That is how he and my son met at WC.
3. Nick survived a horrific 125-feet fall while mountain-climbing at Zion National Park last June.
He was broken in several places. He has scars and memory loss. He continues to suffer other effects from his traumatic brain injury. He is honest in his questions to God on how and why the accident occurred. Watch...

Remove thy stroke away from me:
I am consumed by the blow of thine hand.

Tightening our Strings for Many Years

For the large chunk of change $$$ he's gotten from us for servicing our Piano(s) during the past 20 years, how does our Piano Tuner pay us back?  With dog treats, of course!  My pups simply love his visits.

Don is 85-year old.  He is not only a Piano Tuner, he is also a talented Singer, Jazz Musician, airplane Pilot, Accordionist, Organist, Entertainer, Music Teacher, and Owner of the Music School that each of our 6 kids have attended. He rides his motorcycle with his tuning tools stored in the back seat during warmer weather.

Clarinetist, then and Now

Our son began his Clarinet lessons back in year 2009 of which I wrote about HERE.  This was in addition to his ongoing Piano lessons which began in year 2005.  His focus since Fall 2016 is on majoring in Clarinet Performance while in college ... the very same college where he began his Clarinet lessons via the Community School of the Arts.

We  recently bought him, as promised, a brand new Bb clarinet by Royal Clarinet.

Payday Baby!

Happy Birthday to our beloved Camille Grace! We bless the Lord's Name for our wonderful, multi-talented, beautiful daughter. She is now pursuing her career at SouthernU, having won a very competitive full academic scholarship. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless her with many, many more birthdays. May He keep her safe and successful while away from home.

We love you, Camille. We are proud of you. We miss you so much.

A terrific Flautist taught only by the bestAnne S's Flute Ensemble

Fierce Fencer

Terrific Pianist

Lovely Girl
Studying hard in her dorm room

The name Camilla originates from Italy and is of uncertain origin. In the nineteenth century it gained its greatest fame as a result of the novel and play by Dumas, The Lady of the Camellias, which served as the basis for Verdi's opera La Traviata and several films including Greta Garbo's Camille. It is a pet name and not the given name of the heroine, and the Latin root has no relation to the flower that is her symbol. The flower Camellia was named for Georg Joseph Kamel, who first described it in the 18th century. Kamilah has also its origin in Arabic (كاملة), in which it means perfect.
Variations of the name include: Camella, Camila, Camilah, Camile, Camille, Kamila, Kamilah, Kamilla, Khamilah and Kamille.
Short forms: English: Cammy, Cam, Millie, Milla. Slovak: Kamilka

Taylor Guitar Girl and Hard-core Musician

DD Kristi is a dyed-in-the-wool Musician. During Jim and Tess' Wedding Reception, she slipped away to the Sam Ash Music Store (tagging along were Camille and Jill). She took a look around, made a few small purchases, and returned to the Banquet Hall about an hour later. When the Wedding Reception party was over, we all made a bee-line to Sam Ash based on her rave reviews. The place IS awesome, and chock-full of all things musical. They even had a private, glass-walled room where customers can oggle/play guitars. The guitars ranged in price from approx. $99 to over 3k.

Do you want to live here forever, Kris?

Happy as a lark

A friendly SA, who happens to be a PHENOMENAL guitarist!

A week later: DD on her way to another wedding. She was the Pianist for a fellow Music Therapist's Wedding. Hot day; Hot Girl; super-hot Piano player, wearing her hot Maxi dress ! WooooHoooooo!
