Impossible Dream: Owner of a Chick-Fil-A Franchise!

Chick Fil A is a nearly impossible franchise to get (acceptance rate of less than 1%), but our friend, Marge's son, did it!

Young Michael employs over 100 people at his busy Southern California  store. His mom (kneeling in picture) very generously gave us cards good for one of any 4 food items at a Chick-fil-A franchise, yay!  

BTW, Michael is the 2nd person we personally know who is a CFA franchisee -- and both restaurants happen to be located in the state of California.

 With the average Chick-fil-A store making roughly $4 million in sales annually, the highest out of QSR's top 50 American fast food restaurants, it's easy to see why so many people are interested in franchising the popular chicken restaurant.

The likelihood of ever becoming a franchisee, however, is slim. Chick-fil-A receives nearly 40,000 franchisee inquires annually and only ends up approving roughly 100  applications, according to the Washington Post. - FoxBusines

Son's Free Bechstein Grand Piano

Impossible! It must be a God-thing. My previous encounter with a Bechstein Piano  occurred last year in MN at the lovely home of two kind Doctors whose son attends the same college as ours.

Hubby said Mr Doctor ordered his Bechstein Piano directly from Germany and took months to arrive in the US. I can only hazard a guess as to how much $$$ money $$$ it set him back, but I suppose he could afford it.

 My son and daughter in law did not need to order: their beautiful, re-built, C. Bechstein grand piano was literally handed to them -- for free (!!!) and included freight delivery up 3 flights of narrow stairs to their Wiesbaden apartment. Praise the Lord. God is good!! I am also very thankful that son can now make use of several years of weekly Piano lessons courtesy of the deep pockets of his good ol' mom and pop.
