Our best-Dog-ever is ready for the Solar Eclipse of 2017! There has not been a full Solar Eclipse covering the USA from coast to coast since 1918. Wow.
Our home's location will not allow us a spectacular/full magnitude view of the total solar eclipse, but a couple of family members will have much better views:
A. Daughter/SIL will be in Missouri with friends -- one who happens to be a great Science teacher; and,
B. My youngest Sis lives in Bend, Oregon (just 43 miles from Madras, Oregon -- a town on the list for the TOP 10 PLACES TO VIEW THE ECLIPSE. Sis and family are bracing themselves for the vast crowds, eeek.
May everyone enjoy, and all eyes be safe from damage!
Hubby's entire company will be allowed to observe the rare phenomenon. Each employee has been issued protective eclipse glasses (modeled by our dog, Bubbles above). At approximately 1 pm CT on Monday, August 21, 2017, they will be let loose to go outdoors if they so desire. Who would not want to take advantage of this?!! Afterall, the USA will not see another Solar Eclipse till October 14, 2023.
