The girls were born prematurely @ approximately 21 weeks gestation. Their parents chose to have their wake/funeral on Good Friday (yesterday). I thought it quite appropriate. What better day for farewells than the day that coincides with Christianity's day of commemorating the Lord's death on the Cross of Calvary?! There is death, there is sadness and sorrow; But, wait....what's up ahead? In a couple of days it'll be Easter morning -- when we remember that the Lord is Risen --- just as He said! And just as He is now alive forever more, these beautiful Babies are also alive and present with the Lord. Take heart, Mike and Maryann, your Babies are alive in the safe, loving hands of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Hallelujah, what a Saviour!!!!
O death, where is thy sting?
O grave, where is thy victory?
The sting of death is sin;
and the strength of sin is the law.
But thanks be to God which giveth us victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ
1 Corinthians 15:55-57
