One of the benefits of home ownership: Our 3 youngest enjoying our Home Owner's Association Pool a few days ago. The day was hot and humid, but it was already late afternoon with threatening clouds; so, it wasn't too crowded. The only experienced swimmer is Jill. Farrah admits to not actually floating, but walking --- something good 'ol Mom was also guilty of at her age. Maybe it's time for swimming lessons again.
I leave my judgemental attitude at home when our children use our HOA pool. I don't want to remember that there have been too many strangers partaking of the same activity before we even got there; too many swimmers who love the pool, but absolutely hate letting water touch their bodies anywhere else; and last but not least, there are some who consider it their civic duty to perform a dastardly deed before jumping out quickly and heading home. Thank God for chlorine.
