Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. ~ Matthew 28: 19, 20
Today, Jared, Jill, and AJ; along with 6 other young people, publicly declared their personal faith in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary, through water Baptism (immersion). Hallelujah! What a Saviour!! We rejoice with them on this happy occasion, and give all honor and praise to the Lord Jesus of Nazareth who is ABLE to save to the uttermost!

Poplar Creek Library Re-Opening
After church service and lunch at Sonic, we went to the library's re-opening celebration. It's been closed for over a year for MAJOR renovation. The place was gorgeous and quadrupled (at least) in size; it looked airy and modern; and our mouths were watering at the sight of the food tables. Souvenirs were handed out, and we noted some familiar, friendly faces. We are looking forward to the 15th, when the place will be fully-stocked and fully-functioning.

God cares for Baby Sparrows
Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Matthew 6:26
View from our kitchen window! |
These are Baby Sparrows currently parked on our Berry bush by the kitchen window. They were so new at being on their own that they were still being fed by Momma Sparrow (spoiled kids!). Pictures by JSE.

Academic Scholarship: Meridian Scholar!
By the grace of God, our Camille received the Meridian Scholarship. She competed against hundreds of final applicants who were asked to apply ONLY if they scored at least a 27 on the ACT (she scored a 31, thank God!). Many were Valedictorians or highly-ranked by their high schools; all were very intelligent, competitive, and served their communities through various means. Last March, approximately 100 applicants were invited by the university to a special dinner; and a final, personal interview. She was one of 20 who were awarded. Her tuition/housing/& fees will be paid through this Scholarship for the next 4 years/8 semesters, God willing (up to 15 credit hours per semester). Not bad for a home-schooled kid. God is good; God is generous; God has rebuked the devourer; God has supplied. Hallelujah, what a Saviour!
Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!
