National Candle Day @ BBW

Mark your calendars for Bath & Body Works' annual SALE on Saturday, December 5th.  Candles are some  of my favorite items to collect.  Many are too pretty to burn.  Some smell so good.  A few are too expensive for their own good (cue a visit to my local re-sale shop, LoL).

MacKenzie-Childs: GLOW Home Apothecary, Paradise

Too many pets  living in my home convinced me.  I decided to purchase one of MacKenzie Childs's (MC) diffusers in the "Paradise" (lime zest and bergamot) fragrance.

My package arrived late, as is usual during Covid19 season. The shocker was the broken bottle.  A case of bad and/or inadequate padding by MC.  I was so disappointed, but MC refunded my money -- albeit, it took about a month.

I did not want a good product to go to waste so I made do with what was salvageable.  I  used a beautiful, old, hefty crystal liquor decanter that I inherited from my parent's home bar.

But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. (Philippians 4:18)

MacKenzie-Childs: Which is It, a Rooster or a Hen?

MacKenzie Childs likes Roosters, Hens, Chickens, in its designs, obviously; and calls this item a Rooster Candle (orig. $150).  But is it??  You be the Judge.  (Glad to know that I am not the only one confused at first glance. See below).

One thing  of which I am certain -- I should have bought at least two while the candle was on  a special sale.  It is gorgeous and fulfills my hankering for MC's Parchment Check collection. It's also made in Italy, whoa.

Anthropologie: Good Reviews and Quality Items

(1)  Smells great! A gift from daughter to me. A reed diffuser by Capri Blue in "Volcano".

Described on the Anthro site thus:
Volcano: tropical fruits, sugared oranges, lemons and limes, redolent with lightly exotic mountain greens (FRESH).

Below are Christmas gifts for me and hubby from daughter to complement the diffuser. Capri Blue:  Hand Cream and Jar Candle.  Beautifully packaged (with bells, honest!).  Something about the "Volcano" fragrance elicits ooohs and aaahs from others, apparantly.

(2)  Stoneware Pan by Natalie Lete in collaboration with Anthro. Nice-lookin' and seemed of good quality when I got my first pan. That good impression led me to order two more hoping to give them as gifts. Dear youngest daughter loves to use them for baking. Easy to wash; and no chips nor fading.

(3) Georgina Shower Curtain.  Love the fact that this pretty item is washable.  I already have a similar shower curtain from Anthro called Tender Falls  which is a beaut, but Dry Clean only.
