Legal Thankful Patriotic Immigrant Here

And I'm proud to be an American,
Where at least I know I'm free...
(by Lee Greenwood)

Proudly displayed/used these in my USA home/property. Not much money spent to show my appreciation for this country.  However,  it has my heart and my loyalty (which are priceless).  God bless America!

Run for your Life!

“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” James 4:14 (KJV)

Democrat versus Republican

Subject: 12 REASONS TO VOTE DEMOCRAT

When your family or friends cannot explain why they voted Democrat, give them this list.
Then they can then pick a reason from this "TOP 12"..

1. I voted Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits of 4% on a gallon of gas are obscene, but the government taxing the same gallon of gas at 15% isn't.

2. I voted Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending the money I earn than I would.

3. I voted Democrat because Freedom of Speech is fine as long as nobody is offended by it.

4. I voted Democrat because I'm way too irresponsible to own a gun, and I know that my local police are all I need to protect me from murderers and thieves.

5. I voted Democrat because I believe that people who can't tell us if it will rain on Friday can tell us that the polar ice caps will melt away  in ten years if I don't start driving a Prius.

6. I voted Democrat because I'm not concerned about millions of babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive.

7. I voted Democrat because I think illegal aliens have a right to free health care, education, and Social Security benefits, and we should take away the social security from those who paid into it.

8. I voted Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. They need to break even and give the rest away to the government for redistribution as the Democrats seefit.

9. I voted Democrat because I believe liberal judges need to rewrite the Constitution every few days to suit some fringe kooks who would never get their agendas past the voters.

10.. I voted Democrat because I think that it's better to pay billions to people who hate us for their oil, but not drill our own because it might upset some endangered beetle, gopher or fish.

11. I voted Democrat because while we live in the greatest, most wonderful country in the world, I was promised "HOPE AND CHANGE".

12. I voted Democrat because my head is so firmly planted up my ass,
it's unlikely that I'll ever have another point of view.

Washington Monument

...a history lesson

 LAUS  DEO

Do you know what it  means?

One  detail that is never mentioned is that in  Washington , D.C. there can never be a building  of greater height than the Washington Monument  .. ( Heights of Buildings Act 1910 ..."enacted a new law limiting building heights to the width of the right-of-way of the street or avenue on which a building fronts.")
With  all the uproar about removing the ten  commandments, etc., this is worth a moment or  two of your time.  I was not aware of this  amazing historical information.

On the  aluminum cap, atop the Washington Monument in  Washington , D.C. , are displayed two  words:

Laus  Deo

No  one can see these words.  In fact, most  visitors to the monument are totally unaware  they are even there and for that matter,  probably could care  less.

Once  you know Laus  Deo's history , you  will want to share this with everyone you  know.  These words have been there for many  years; they are 555 feet, 5.125 inches high,  perched atop the monument, facing skyward to the  Father of our nation, overlooking the 69 square  miles which comprise the District of Columbia ,  capital of the United States of  America

Laus  Deo!
Two seemingly  insignificant, unnoticed words. Out of sight  and, one might think, out of mind, but very  meaningfully placed at the highest point over  what is the most powerful city in the most  successful nation in the  world.

So,  what do those two words, in Latin, composed of  just four syllables and only seven letters,  possibly mean?  Very simply, they  say
'  Praise be to God!'
Though  construction of this giant obelisk began  in
1848,  when James Polk was President of the United  States , it was not  until 1888 that  the monument was inaugurated and opened to the  public.  It took twenty-five years to finally cap the  memorial with a tribute to the Father of our  nation,

Laus  Deo

'Praise  be to God!'

From  atop this magnificent granite and marble  structure, visitors may take in the beautiful  panoramic view of the city with its division  into four major segments.  From that  vantage point, one can also easily see the  original plan of the designer, Pierre Charles  l'Enfant .....a perfect cross imposed upon the  landscape, with the White House to the  north.  The Jefferson Memorial is to the  south, the Capitol to the east and the Lincoln  Memorial to the  west.

A  cross you ask?  Why a cross?  What  about separation of church and state? Yes, a  cross; separation of church and state was not,  is not, in the Constitution.  So, read on.  How interesting and, no doubt, intended to carry  a profound meaning for those who bother to  notice. When  the cornerstone of the Washington Monument was  laid on July 4th, 1848 deposited within it were  many items including the Holy Bible presented by  the Bible  Society. Praise  be to God!   Such was the discipline, the moral direction,  and the spiritual mood given by the founder and  first President of our unique  democracy 'One  Nation, Under God.'
I  am awed by George Washington's prayer for  America  ....
Have you ever read it? Well, now is your unique  opportunity, so read  on!
'  Almighty God; We make our earnest prayer that  Thou wilt keep the United States in Thy holy  protection; that Thou wilt incline the hearts of  the citizens to cultivate a spirit of  subordination and obedience to government; and  entertain a brotherly affection and love for one  another and for their fellow citizens of the  United States at large. And finally that Thou  wilt most graciously be pleased to dispose us  all to do justice, to love mercy, and to demean  ourselves with that charity, humility, and  pacific temper of mind which were the  characteristics of the Divine Author of our  blessed religion, and without a humble imitation  of whose example in these things we can never  hope to be a happy nation.  Grant our  supplication, we beseech Thee, through Jesus  Christ our Lord.   Amen.'

Laus  Deo!

Meaning of Flag Draped Coffin...... and its Folding

Some of you may have known this already, but I didn't.
I think it is a lesson we all need to learn.

   Meaning of Flag Draped Coffin......
All Americans should be given this lesson. Those who think that America is an
arrogant nation should really reconsider that thought. Our founding fathers used
GOD's word and teachings to establish our Great Nation and I think it's high
time Americans get re-educated about this Nation's history.
Pass it along and be proud of the country we live in and even more proud of
those who serve to protect our 'GOD GIVEN' rights and freedoms.

I hope you take the time to read this ... To understand what the flag draped
coffin really means ... Here is how to understand the flag that laid upon it and
is surrendered to so many widows and widowers.
Do you know that at military funerals, the 21-gun salute stands for the sum
of the numbers in the year 1776?

Have you ever noticed the honor guard pays meticulous attention to correctly
folding the United States of America Flag 13 times? You probably thought it was
to symbolize the original 13 colonies, but we learn something new every day!

The 1st fold of the flag is a symbol of life.

The 2nd fold is a symbol of the belief in eternal life.

The 3rd fold is made in honor and remembrance of the veterans departing the
ranks who gave a portion of their lives for the defense of the country to attain
peace throughout the world.

The 4th fold represents the weaker nature, for as American citizens trusting
in God, it is to Him we turn in times of peace as well as in time of war for
His divine guidance.

The 5th fold is a tribute to the country, for in the words of Stephen
Decatur, 'Our Country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be right;
but it is still our country, right or wrong.'

The 6th fold is for where people's hearts lie. It is with their heart that
they pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States Of America , and the
Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty
and Justice for all.

The 7th fold is a tribute to its Armed Forces, for it is through the Armed
Forces that they protect their country and their flag against all her enemies,
whether they be found within or without the boundaries of their republic.

The 8th fold is a tribute to the one who entered into the valley of the
shadow of death, that we might see the light of day.

The 9th fold is a tribute to womanhood, and Mothers. For it has been through
their faith, their love, loyalty and devotion that the character of the men and
women who have made this country great has been molded.

The 10th fold is a tribute to the father, for he, too, has given his sons and
daughters for the defense of their country since they were first born.

The 11th fold represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King
Solomon and glorifies in the Hebrews eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

The 12th fold represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies, in the
Christians eyes, God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit.

The 13th fold, or when the flag is completely folded, the stars are uppermost
reminding them of their nations motto, 'In God We Trust.'

After the flag is completely folded and tucked in, it takes on the appearance
of a cocked hat, ever reminding us of the soldiers who served under General
George Washington, and the Sailors and Marines who served under Captain John
Paul Jones, who were followed by their comrades and shipmates in the Armed
Forces of the United States , preserving for them the rights, privileges and
freedoms they enjoy today.

There are some traditions and ways of doing things that have deep meaning.
In the future, you'll see flags folded and now you will know why.
Share this with the children you love and all others who love what is
referred to, the symbol of ' Liberty and Freedom.'

MAYBE THE SUPREME COURT SHOULD READ THIS EXPLANATION BEFORE THEY RENDER THEIR
DECISION ON THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE.
FORWARD IT..................... MAYBE SOMEONE WITH THE NECESSARY POWER, OR
POLITICAL AND FINANCIAL INFLUENCE, WILL GET IT TO THEM.
IN THE MEANTIME, MAY GOD PROTECT US ALWAYS.
ONE NATION, UNDER GOD, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.

He hit the world on the head

....from a man the Media has never been able to throw dirt on... amazing!!  He has certainly hit the "world" on the head!!

Billy Graham's Prayer For Our Nation

THIS MAN SURE HAS A GOOD VIEW OF WHAT'S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY!

'Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good', but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics. We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. O Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free.  Amen!'

Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story', and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'One nation under God..'
