No way was I even close to choosing a top-of-the-line variety ( e.g. Neorest by Toto). It's on my bucket list though, hehehe.
The following are two instances when my choice of a Toto toilet was affirmed.
1. Actress, Diane Keaton, in The House That Pinterest Built (p 89), had this to say about toilet maker, TOTO:
One of the greatest features of toilet maker TOTO is the fact that you will be able to choose the kind of flush that you need to have. The toilet will automatically flush for you, which is going to reduce the amount of germs being spread automatically, but you can also set it for a flush that is as low as almost 1 gallon. It offers an unmatched level of water conservation, on the one hand; on the other, you can set it for a strong flush, with 1.6 gallons of water, for a heavy load that will not jam your system up either. There are many clever new devices to make the visit more rewarding. But there's something to be said for leaving the toilet simple. Pass on the bells and whistles. If you're in the market for a new toilet, my only advice is this: Don't buy one with a set too close to the floor. It's safe to say the higher the better.
2. My Sis & her Hubby's home has 2 Toto toilets. With many original artworks such as these scattered throughout their house and now even in their main bathroom -- of course, I wasn't surprised that they had chosen a good-quality TOTO toilet!!
