She is a 2-year-old Collie mix that Romy found at our county's animal control center. They had actually met last Saturday while I was distracted with Jill's CSA Piano event at WC. She was on hold for a pending adoption. Come Monday, she was still available. The next people in line could adopt her, and that was us!
... at the facility:
(a) She's not a barker, but whines if she so chooses
(b) Her hair is silky, and her shedding is minimal for now
(c) She was already 2 years old, but had not gotten spayed
till she was taken in by animal control (surgery 4/6/2010)
(d) She is drawn to children and to other dogs
(e) She drinks often
... after her adoption
(a) she doesn't mind car rides
(b) she is comfortable on someone's lap
(c) she tolerates crates
(d) she doesn't mind (loud) piano music
(e) she is very, very alert
... she cost us, initially, $100 which included
(a) test for heartworms -- negative
(b) 1 dose of heartworm meds
(c) Bordatella shot
(d) Rabies shot
(e) Spaying
(f) Micro-chipping
Has she or hasn't she?
Here or outside?
